Saturday, 11 august 2007, starting at 5 PM, it will take place in the Copou Park the second edition of “Iashington – Global Village”. This year “Iashington” takes place in the form of a multicultural fair and constitutes the first part of a week in which events will take place that are designed to promote the city of Iasi and the area of Moldova.
Fair will reunite young people from Ukraine, Turkey, Lithuania, Netherlands, Malaysia, representatives of ethnic communities from Iasi: Greek, Hebrew, Russian Lipovans and Egiptean and it is addressed to the citizens of iasi eager to come into contact with different cultures of the world. People will be able to know closely the specific communities present at the fair through the exhibition and the multicultural show that will take place in the Copou Park! At the participating stands will be presented different representative objects, such as traditional costumes, photo albums, audio-specific music, video, art objects, books, small representative souvenirs that will be offered to the visitors (flags, key holders, postcards, etc.).
