سلطات إيطاليا تقبض على 106 مصريين بتهمة الهجرة غير الشرعية

Ambassador Mohammad Abdel Hakam, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs and Egyptians abroad, migration and refugees,declare that the Italian authorities arrested 106 Egyptians on charges of illegal immigration, were on board one of the boats of illegal immigration near the Italian island of Sicily, the first on Thursday.
And Abdel-hakam, said in a statement Saturday, “that the efforts and contacts made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Egyptian embassy in Rome led to the approval of the Italian authorities not to bring them to trial and deported back to Egypt.
He added that Italian authorities are investigating with only 10 people, they are referred to the crew on charges of facilitating illegal immigration to Italy, in addition to the investigation with 9 others have to cause riots in some centers for illegal immigrants in Italy.
He warned government of the dire consequences of illegal immigration to Italy, pointing out that the European laws criminalizing illegal immigration, and punish a fine financial and imprisonment, and deportation of illegal immigrants, as well as to punish anyone who harbor or turn on or to help illegal immigrants, fine, financial and custody.
And Mohamed Abdel-Hakam importance of enacting laws that would increase penalties for illegal immigration brokers who are trying to fraud the Egyptian citizens and mislead them.
